And I can tell you from my time spent in the Batcave that that's all a bunch of crap anyway. Batman's all about the *ladies.*

Oh yes indeed--thank you for saying so.
Not quite the same thing, but equally disturbing for similar reasons: Bert/Ernie or Peppermint Patty/Marcy are gay jokes.
Also, it's a lazy cliche of a joke that impresses adult characteristics on children or characters created for children. Maybe the first ten thousand or so times it seemed original to someone, like Batman and Robin, giggle giggle.
