Spencer: I hadn't really thought about how Bendis and Millar have complimentary weaknesses as writers. That's very true. Bendis alone could have just devolved into emo talking heads (a lot like your BRILLIANT parody, only not funny).

Millar's BEST writing partner was Grant Morrison, who could take Millar's "shocking" ideas and force them to work. Reading Red Son makes me think

I almost hate to this, but I feel the whole shebang would have worked out if Bendis and Millar did it together. Bendis would dig into what's going on in the heroes heads a little bit more than Millar would of and Millar would have supplemented the talking heads with nice panels. But Millar alone, he wastes precious screen time by using huge panels to make you go "woah" instead of using 3 or 4
